Overview
I helped enterprise teams turn ambitious digital roadmaps into shipped products — from intern to Application Consultant guiding seven-figure accounts.
OST is a Grand Rapids-based Digital Consultancy, serving enterprise organizations such as Herman Miller, Caterpillar, Meijer, and Traeger in custom software, design, and strategic consulting. I worked with OST from May of 2018 until November of 2021, creating the foundation for my career in Technology.
From Intern, to Application Developer, to Application Consultant, OST helped shape me into the Consultant that I am today. Along the way I consulted on, and built out $500k+ Digital Commerce projects as a Technical Lead. I helped drive a strategic partnership with Workarea (now acquired by VTEX), a SaaS ecommerce platform built on Ruby on Rails. Towards the end of my time, I was able to act as a Principal Consultant on a hundred-thousand dollar account, providing strategic guidance for ongoing Statements of Work, as well as vision for where to overall product team could move in the future to create further revenue streams.
My decision to move away from OST was driven by a desire to get back out of my comfort zone, and further develop experience in another landscape (enter, VTEX).
What the role involves

Served as Technical Lead on large-scale ecommerce projects for smb & enterprise clients.
Strategic Partnership with Workarea
Helped drive a key partnership with Workarea (later acquired by VTEX), a Ruby on Rails-based SaaS ecommerce platform — a connection that would later shape my own career path.
Principal Consultant on a Six-Figure Account
Provided strategic guidance on ongoing Statements of Work and product direction for a hundred-thousand-dollar account, identifying new opportunities for revenue growth.
